Calrie Marsh Attends Ethics and Fitness Panel at the University of Miami Law School

On Wednesday, February 15, Calrie Marsh attended an Ethics and Fitness Panel hosted by the University of Miami Law School.  The panel of speakers included, Dean VanderWyden, Michael Cohen, Director of Florida Lawyers Assistance, as well as recent law school graduate. The panel discussed the various ethics or bar  application fitness questions, the bar admission process through the Florida Board of Bar Examiners, and available resources to assist students in navigating these issues. Students were given the  opportunity to ask questions in a general setting and also one on one with the panel members.

Steven Pinkert presents on Virginia Tech shooting at the American College of Forensic Psychiatry

Steven Pinkert, MD, JD, MBA attended the June 2007 conference at the American College of Forensic Psychiatry.  A month before the conference, on April 16, 2007, on the campus of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Seung-Hui Cho, a senior English major, killed 32 people and wounded 25 others.

Steven Pinkert presented on the topic of the Virginia Tech tragedy with a focus on understanding what caused Mr. Cho’s behavior.

Calrie Marsh participates in Broward Legal Aid's New Advice and Counsel Hotline

Pro Bono

On January 24, 2012, Calrie Marsh and fellow members of the Caribbean Bar Association participated in the Broward Legal Aid's New Advice and Counsel Hotline.  Ms. Marsh is committed to Pro Bono opportunities throughout South Florida and believes that we all have to do our part to give back to the community.

Jury Finds in Favor of Child Actor and Three Time World Champion in Contentious Trial of a Defectively Designed Exercise Machine Manufactured by Life Fitness

Steven Pinkert was instrumental in the products liability trial against Life Fitness, Inc., an Illinois Company and subsidiary of Brunswick Corporation which resulted in a $751,000.00 jury verdict for Plaintiff, Steven Cooper. Steven Pinkert was appointed to the Miami Dade Hospital Governance Task Force

In April 2011, Steven Pinkert was appointed to the Miami Dade Hospital Governance Task Force by the Honorable Linda Bell.  Mr. Pinkert worked tirelessly with other members to draft a proposal and final recommendation providing alternative models for the operation of the Private Health Trust.  For more information about the task force and to view final recommendations go to:
